Recognised by the European Research Executive Agency: PollinERA featured in article promoting saving Europe's pollinators

The European Research Executive Agency (REA) has published an article highlighting EU-funded research efforts tackling the alarming decline of bees and other wild pollinating insects across Europe. One of the projects highlighted in this article is PollinERA in the context of better understanding pesticide risk assessment by filling the current data gap on the sources and routes of pesticide exposure and impact on pollinators. 

The article draws attention to the reality that one in three bee, butterfly and hoverfly species is in decline across the European Union, making pollinator loss one of the largest threats to nature, food security and the well-being of people. 

This trend is placed in the larger framework of the European Commission's "A New Deal for Pollinators", which addresses the decline of wild pollinators in Europe. The article highlights a number of EU-funded initiatives that aid this action, such as PollinERA and its sister project WildPosh
