PollinERA in focus in WildPosh’s Newsletter

This April, PollinERA was a special focus in the spring edition of the WildPosh project’s newsletter. The newsletter provides an overview of WildPosh’s key achievements and activities over the last six months, including the project's second Annual General Meeting, а new study presenting an oral toxicology test for hoverflies, and WildPosh and PollinERA’s joint participation in the seminar “Pesticides and pollinators”. The seminar, hosted by the FRAM Centre at the University of Gothenburg and BECC, brought together scientists and policymakers to discuss pesticide risks to pollinators.

In the WildPosh newsletter, PollinERA had a special ‘In focus' section with an overview of its latest achievements, including the first policy brief of the project and the new PollinERA scientific publication in the journal Environmental Science & Technology, examining key limitations in how chemical safety is currently assessed and regulated. The social media video campaign "Explaining PollinERA" was also highlighted for its aim to shed light on complex topics within the project and explain them in an accessible way.

The newsletter also featured an update on the completion of the Safeguard project and a presentation of the special Biodiversity Forecasting Challenge of the ANTENNA project - an interactive web application that puts human ecological intuition head-to-head with state-of-the-art machine learning and gives a chance to any user to test their abilities to predict future insect abundance.
