Find the mystery species: PollinERA celebrated Insect Week with a special social media campaign

Insect Week is an annual celebration of all insects, organised by the Royal Entomological Society and supported by partner organisations throughout the UK and Europe. This year, the PollinERA project and seven other Horizon projects, AGRI4POL, ANTENNA, EUFAWREADY, Safeguard, WildPosh and VALOR, took part in the celebration with a special social media campaign.

During the week, dedicated to all things insect, the projects joined forces to feature project-specific entomological species, while sharing clues for a mysterious insect species that was chosen for the first edition of the Insect Game.

PollinERA focused on one of the project’s study species, Bombus terrestris, and highlighted it on social media channels with a special publication featuring interesting details and fun facts.

The Insect Week social media campaign was a fun way to share entomological knowledge and shed light on the species we want to protect together. Following the conclusion of the international celebration of Insect Week, we continue to support the call ‘Stand tall with the small’ and to work for better pollinator protection.
